A Practice Report On Interpreting For Hebei Donghao Industrial Company

As globalization continues apace, China has been gradually enlarging its foreign trade and enhancing its communication with other countries. With China’s development since Reform and Open-up and its economy power getting stronger, China is playing an important role in foreign trade and interaction. Meanwhile as the special location and the amount of population and other factors, China has attracted more and more countries which are willing to cooperate with China. In all the areas of foreign trade, interpreters are indispensable, without whom all the work can not be done smoothly and successfully. They accelerate China’s development in different areas with its foreign affairs.This report is based on the author’s experience as an interpreter for He Bei Dong Hao Industrial Company where the author accomplished a Sino-foreign trade translation task. The paper falls into four parts: task description, process description, case analysis and summary, in which the author discusses comprehensively the task background, preparation and process, analyzes the cases in this activity and figures out the problems of interpreter with the presentation of solutions, and summarizes this practice with the expectation in the future study and work.Interpreting practice is an important part in learning how to be a good interpreter. Only in practice can interpreters make their work more and more perfect. Interpreters not only need to evaluate their professional standard but also need to develop their ability in a comprehensive way, especially their psychological quality and their ability to resist pressure, which will lead to a better result of their interpreting skills during practice.
