| Interpreting is a kind of activity that translates information accurately and quickly from one language to another language.In this report,the author has carried on the simulation scene interpretation practice of the interview “Murrow Media Wars”.The report provides a good viewing experience for the audience.The simulation of interpreting practice is based on the American talk show of Murrow Interview-"Media Wars",a total length of about 57 minutes.There are two guest interviews.Interspersed with questions and interactions from the audience,the simulation lasts about 2 hours.The purpose of this report is to convey the interview content to the audience through simulating scene interpretation,and find out the problems and shortcomings that exist in the process of simulating practice,and by so doing,to improve my interpreting skills.In the process of interpreting,I encountered various problems.In dealing with them,excellent psychological quality is very crucial.Therefore,it is necessary to master some contingency skills,so that all kinds of emergencies can be resolved.On-site interpretation is a very challenging job,which has the characteristics of immediacy,unpredictability,seriousness and complexity of the subject.For the interpreter,the most important problem is the serious atmosphere on the scene,which may bring great psychological pressure to the interpreter.It especially brings great challenges to the interpreter’s psychological quality.It requires not only professional skills,but also strong compression ability and good psychological quality.This report is based on Murrow Interview interpretation practice.Through this practice,the author has deepened the interest on the chat show,and also learned a lot of knowledge from the program.The author’s horizon has been broadened,and also has acquired a deeper understanding of interpreting strategies.The author found shortcomings in the interpreting process,and learned how to improve it.It has laid a good foundation for the author’s interpreting practice in the future. |
