Objective: Prostate cancer incidence and prevalence worldwide, and the same rangeof values of PSA prostate biopsy positive rate between the different ethnic cleardifferences in different regions to explore the Xinjiang Uygur and Han in guide thediagnosis of prostate cancer indicators differences (tPSA, pathological grade, puncturepositive rate, etc.). Methods: In the period from May2007to September2012, seeingdoctor in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical, patients have lower urinarytract symptoms and between Uygur and Han ethnic patients older than50years old, conventional PSA test and digital rectal examination and transrectal ultrasound, includinga total of10,374cases, in which the patients of the prostate biopsy is456cases, throughcomparing positive biopsy rate, PSA values and histological grade, analyse Xinjiang Hanand Uighur significant difference in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Results: Enrolledprostate cancer prevalence was1.56%, which Han prevalence rate of1.68%, the rate ofUighur is1.18%. Total prostate biopsy positive rate of35.5%, of the rate of the Han grouppuncture positive is37.2%, Uighur group was29.7%; and positive biopsy ratedifferences of the two groups is statistically significant (P <0.01). The Han group PSAaverage (3.52±1.467) ng/ml, Uighur group (3.02±1.323) ng/ml, the difference wasstatistically significant (P <0.01). Conclusion:1. Acquisition of different ages differentPSA values were higher than the Uighur, Han; indications for a prostate biopsy, PSA asthe same variable, Han prostate biopsy detection rate is higher than the Uygur the need toestablish more the Uighur prostate cancer data, the establishment of a Uighur PSAthreshold discuss the need for the Uighur independent prostate biopsy indications.2.Thedata indicate: PSA is still the most commonly used and effective diagnosis of prostatecancer, a detection means, Han prostate cancer prevalence in Uighur prostate cancerprevalence, consider prostate cancer due to ethnic differences, but into group study the presence of urinary tract symptoms in patients with particularity the need to furtherimprove the epidemiological investigation.
