Background:The Combining traditional chinese and western medicine treatment improve stage Ⅳ colorectal cancer survival rates and longer progression-free surial and the median survival period, still lack of reliable support of evidence-based medicine. Still lack of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine to large-scale randomized controlled trials for the treatment of patients with colorectal cancer. Some clinical trials or observation of the number of cases is less, it is difficult to draw of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of colorectal cancer delay the progress of time, extend the survival time of the conclusion.Objeetive:To evaluate the effect of Combining traditional chinese and western medicine treatment. To provides a reliable basis in order to optimize the treatment of stage IV colorectal cancer. Methods:Selectting the china-japan friendship hospital combining traditional chinese and western medicine oncology as the research center, researehers Consulted and collected case records that are consistent with inclusion criteria, Follow-up with telephone are carried out the illness records simultaneously. SPSS22.0 software was used to analysed the collected data. Results:Male’s incidence is higher than female’s. Incidence increases with age. The incidence increased explosively in the age of 50 years and older. In the first line, the combining groups prolong the median time of progression-free-surviva 2.69 months than the western groups. There is significance difference in 5 and 15 month survival rate between two groups. Logistic and Cox regression show that traditional chinese medicine, CapeOX/Cape regimens, biological target therapy, FOLFIRI/ CapeOX/biological target therapy plus TCM and surgery of metastases have statistical significance in progression-free-survival. TCM, CapeOX/Cape regimens, TCM plus FOLFIRI/Cape regimens and surgery of metastases are protective factors of progression-free-surviva. IRI, 5FU/LV, FOLFIRI regimen and interventional treatment have statistical significance in risk of death. Conclusions:The Combining traditional chinese and western medicine treatment in patients with stage IV colorectal may be longer progression-free survival time compared with the western medicine treatment. TCM, CapeOX/Cape regimens, TCM plus FOLFIRI/Cape regimens and surgery of metastases may prolong progression-free-survival and provide better benefits for stage IV colorectal cancer Patients.
