Ovarian tumors during pregnancy are one of the common complications ofpregnancy. Ovarian tumors during pregnancy have no direct adverse effect for thegrowth and development of fetal, but it will have some impacts on the pregnancy andchildbirth. Particularly, there will be complications which are more harmful than thenon-pregnant and can threat to the motherhood’s safety. It is needed to take into accountwhen treating both mother and child. And therefore, summary and analysis ofpregnancy with clinical manifestations of ovarian cancer, early diagnosis of pregnancywith clinical manifestations of ovarian cancer, early diagnosis, timely treatment,prevention of complications are particularly important. We collected in34pregnancieswith ovarian cancer cases in Ji’nan Central Hospital which are from January2005toMarch2012. We analyzed the clinical data and reviewed the literatures. Finally, wediscuss the clinical manifestation,diagnosis and treatment principles of pregnancy withovarian tumor.Objective:To discuss the clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatmentprinciples of pregnancy with ovarian tumor.Methods:We collected in34pregnancies with ovarian cancer cases in Ji’nanCentral Hospital which are from January2005to March2012, and the literatures werereviewed.Results:There were34pregnancies with ovarian cancer in all patients.2pre-pregnancies cases were found, accounting for5.9%. There were6cases of earlypregnancy accounting for17.6%. There were10cases of second trimester accountingfor29.4%, and16cases of third trimester of pregnancy accounting for47.1%. We foundout that34cases were benign tumor totally without malignancy.16cases (47.1%) wereteratoma which is the most common histological type.7cases followed by were ovarianchocolate cysts (20.6%) and5cases of mucinous cystadenoma (14.7%).One case of34 patients was natural childbirth;1case was induced abortion in the early stages ofpregnancy;2cases did the operation during the second trimesters;31cases did theoperation during the third trimester. Among4urgent operations,2of them werecaused by torsion, two by rupture,1case suffered a miscarriage,2cases werepremature infants, there is no maternal mortality and fetal loss.Conclusion:To the pregnancy associated with ovarian tumor, We must Payinghigh attention to make the Early diagnosis and treatment. Pregnancy associated withovarian tumor is the most common teratoma,followed by Chocolate cyst, adnexaltorsion, the rupture of the tumor etc. Pregnancy associated with ovarian tumor should beobserved regularly to operate at the right time, preventing the complications. To operateat the early pregnancy is liable to suffered abortion.So we can observed temporarily.When the tumor grow bigger or the complications set in at the middle pregnancy,weshould take the operation immediately. In late pregnancy we should observe the tumorbefore the natural term to take the myomectomy during cesarean section. But if thecomplications set in, we should take the operation immediately.
