Objective To explore the clinical characteristics, influence and treatment principle of ovarian tumor in pregnancy.Indications and the best time for surgery during pregnancy. To provide reference for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of pregnant women with ovarian tumors in the future. Methods We retrospectively analysed the clinical results of 337 ovarian tumor in pregnancy which were treated operated and pathologically diagnosed in our hospital. Results About 97.63%(329/337)of the cases were diagnosed as benign tumors, majority of which were demoid cysts.Torsion of ovarian tumor is 7.42%.Among the torsion,76.92%(20/26)was performed salpingectomy. There is no foetal loss or prematurity after surgery during pregnancy. The incidence rate of the complications such as torsion and rupture of the ovarian tumors whose diameter is 6-10cm is higher than the other tumors. The differences were statistically significant. Conclusion For the ovarian tumor in pregnancy, the most common type is dermoid cysts.A standardized perinatal examination helps early detection of pregnancy with ovarian tumors. The diagnosis depends mainly on ultrasound. When diagnosis remains unclear even after re-evaluation by an experienced sonographer, further imaging such as MRI is needed.Regular follow-up and proper treatment during pregnancy can help to reduce the incidence of ovarian tumor complications and improve the prognosis. The best period for surgery is during 16-18weeks.Surgery intervention in time does not influence the pregnancy outcome. For malignant ovarian tumor, the treatment principle is similiar to that in non-pregnancy.
