Ovarian tumors during pregnancy are one of the common complications of pregnancy. Ovarian tumors during pregnancy have no direct adverse effect for the growth and development of fetal, but it will have some impacts on the pregnancy and childbirth. Particularly, there will be complications which are more harmful than the non-pregnant and can threat to the motherhood'safety. It is needed to take into account when treating both mother and child. And therefore, summary and analysis of pregnancy with clinical manifestations of ovarian cancer, early diagnosis, timely treatment, prevention of complications are particularly important. We collected in 907 pregnancies with ovarian cancer cases in our hospital which are from January 2005 to December 2010. We analyzed the clinical data and reviewed the literatures. Finally, we discuss the clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment principles of pregnancy with ovarian tumor.Objective: To discuss the clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment principles of pregnancy with ovarian tumor.Methods: We collected in 907 pregnancies with ovarian cancer cases in our hospital which are from January 2005 to December 2010, and the literatures were reviewed.Results: There were 34 pregnancies with ovarian cancer in all patients. 2 pre-pregnancies cases were found, accounting for 5.9%. There were 6 cases of early pregnancy accounting for 17.6%. There were 10 cases of second trimester accounting for 29.4%, and 16 cases of third trimester of pregnancy accounting for 47.1%.We found out that 34 cases were benign tumor totally without malignancy. 16 cases (47.1%) were teratoma which is the most common histological type. 7 cases followed by were ovarian chocolate cysts (20.6%) and 5 cases of mucinous cystadenoma (14.7%).One case of 34 patients was natural childbirth; 1 case was induced abortion in the early stages of pregnancy; 2 cases did the operation during the second trimesters , 31 cases did the operation during the third trimester. 1 case suffered a miscarriage, 2 cases were premature infants, there is no maternal mortality and fetal loss.Conclusions:We must Paying high attention to the pregnancy associated with ovarian tumor, according to the clinical manifestations and auxiliary examination to make the Early diagnosis and treatment. Pregnancy associated with ovarian tumor is the most common teratoma,followed by Chocolate cyst, adnexal torsion, the rupture of the tumor etc.Pregnancy associated with ovarian tumor should be observed regularly to operate at the right time, preventing the complications.To operate at the early pregnancy is liable to suffered abortion.So we can observed temporarily.When the tumor grow bigger or the complications set in at the middle pregnancy,we should take the operation immediately. In late pregnancy we should observe the tumor before the natural term to take the myomectomy during cesarean section.But if the complications set in, we should take the operation immediately.
