Background The aged patients with hip fractures are usually accompanied with preexisted internal medical or neurolosical diseases and have high risk in operation, postoperative complications are often seen. How to improve the success rate of the operation and improve the quality of life of the old age, is the clinical need to solve the problem, recognize and deal with the preexisted diseases and intraoperative complications of perioperation is the key.Objective To analyse the preexisted diseases and intraoperative complications of perioperation of hip fractures in patients aged over80years.Study the occurrence and countermeasures for future treatment of aged patients to provide help. Methods A retrospective study was done on data of83patients with hip fractures in patients aged over80years treated surgically from Jan.2010to Aug.2012. To study the characters of preexisted diseases and intraoperative complications of perioperation.Results This research gets83patients, with a mean age of83.4years (80~94).①Patients with preexisted diseases have preoperative complicated in24patients (36.4%), otherwise patients without preexisted diseases have preoperative complications only in2patients (11.8%), the difference between the two groups have statistical significance (X2=2.73, P=0.037, P<0.05).②Patients with preexisted diseases66patients, the time From the hospital to the operation time exceed7days or more happened in,43cases, their postoperative complications occurred16cases (37.2%); while the time less than7days happened in23cases, their postoperative complications occurred8cases (34.7%), the difference was not statistically significant (X2=0.038, P=0.845, P>0.05). Patients without preexisted diseases17patients, the time From the hospital to the operation time exceed7days or more happened in4cases, their postoperative complications occurred1cases (25.0%); while the time less than7days happened in13cases, their postoperative complications occurred1cases (7.7%), the difference was not statistically significant (P=0.426, P>0.05).Conclusions In these aged patients with hip fracture who had preoperative complications were much easier to combine postoperative complications, therefore we needed prepare carefully before the operation and don’t rush. The time admitted to hospital to operation had no effect for postoperative complications.
