As the profit of the whole manufacturing industry has been graduallydecreased,manufacturers have to face the thin profit margins,noticing that sustainingprofit gaining couldn’t be guaranteed by merely product innovations.It is a new trendfor manufacturing enterprises that respond quickly to the rapid change of the marketby introducing the advanced mode of production management,shortening the leadtime,reducing the amount of inventory,speeding up the cash flow.In order to help production managers to solve the problems that currentlyfaced.Such as high inventory level,long lead time,poor stability of productquality,slow speed to respond the rapid change of the market. Based on theory aboutKanban management,the paper integrated use of value stream map technology,todiscuss the whole production process of compressor product in JingYi company,themain research contents are as follows:Firstly,the paper introduces the generation,development,characteristic andadvantage of Kanban management.It provides a more detailed analysis of the natureof Kanban management and some suggestions of improvement activities before carryout Kanban management by the research of some key problems, such as the meaningof Kanban management and the difference between Kanban production system andgeneral production system.Secondly,the current value stream map is drawn based on the data collected fromproduction site,such as the transfer mode of production plan,productionprocess,inventory and processing time. The problems in manufacturing process areexposed through the analysis to the current value stream map and then determinewhich processes need to be improved.The future value stream map will be drawn byformulating the corresponding improvement measures,which provide a scientific basisfor the improvement program of production line.Third,the improvement program of production line also the Kanban system ofcompressor workshop is designed on the basis of above research and analysis.A complete system of Kanban management is established after the form,quantity,running process of in process Kanban,signal Kanban,inter-process Kanban,temporaryKanban and the rule,auxiliary tools,maintainence of using Kanban system isdesigned.It provide a directive function for carrying out the Kanban system incompany in the future.The last,the paper give a assessment of expected benefits to the improvementprogram of production line that based on Kanban management.The summary andoutlook are also given,which provide a clear direction for the future research.
