Many studies about Ship-bridge collision have been dong at home and abord, themain focus is the refinement of ship at present, however the study on nonlinearresponse of pier is ignored. Models are made in order to delve the influence of flowfield and acombination effects of pile and soil on the Ship-bridge collision. Certaintheoretical foundation and some references are given in order to further simplify thesimulation of ship-bridge piers.the main research contents and conclusions are:1. ship-bridge collision theories and the development are introduced simplely,analytic study about calculation formulas of ship-bridge collision theory have been done,a summary about serviceable range and disadvantages are made.2. Additional quality models and a fluid-structure interaction models are built from0.02m to0.07m, fluid solid coupling can be replaced by method additional qualitymodels with the analysis and comparison ofimpact force and energy curves.Theinfluence to collision of flow field is made, the conclusion about the added mass sizesare depended on the case. When water depth is larger, additional quality also should bebigger,however,When water depth is smaller,additional quality also should be simaller.In a word, the Specific values can bereceived by combining with the actual situation.3. Fluid-structure interaction model, additional mass model and the additional massmodel are made under different different speed conditions. The largest impact force offluid-structure interaction model and additional mass model is small,but The addedmass model’s and a fluid-structure interaction model’s is In the opposite,by the increaseof speed.That is to say, the influence of flow field to collision become larger with theincrease of speed.4. Nonlinear ship-bridge collision can not been reflected well by8times the pilediameter equivalent,with the comparative studies of result have been done. Energyabsorption by pile and soil can not been reflected, and max impact force is smaller thanface-to-face contact. Appliance of8times the pile diameter on ship-bridge collision isnot correct。Comparison of the impact force and energy in different conditions havebeen done,by Simulation of two kinds of pile soil interaction. Effects on the ship bridgecollision of pile and soil is larger with the speed increases.
