Fujian Statistical Information Website Design Based On Web GIS

Statistical information, as the most important information resources in thecountry or region, plays an important role in providing a precise realization ofnational conditions and power,helping the government or relevant departments makescientific decisions. But even nowadays, the Fujian Statistical Information websitebuilt by the Bureau Statistics of Fujian province is still realeased in the traditionalpure-digital and two-dimensional table forms, which fail to meet the growing demandof information in decision-making and can not feature the site or bring it into play.The paper uses the mainstream RIA secondary development platform,technological advantages combined component typt Web GIS development platformfrom Flex Builder, and the encapsulated-capable and portable characteristics ofwidgets from MapGIS IGServer. It designs and at the same time realizes the FujianStatistical Information website based on the related functions in the geographicinformation technology.It also combines the statistical data and its spatial locationclosely and set up a four-dimensional geographical spatial database to achieve themapizaion, visualization and map-chart integration of the project statistics. It devotesits social service function to the economic development and statistical decision in thesociety.Basing on the reference to some related articles domestic and foreign, the paperstudys the features of the Fujian Statistical Information network system andtechnology. It may realize or improve the following functions according to the relatedtheory and technology:(1) To construct a four-dimensional Statistics Spatial Database in Fujian throughthe acquisition of vector map data and attribute data(four-dimensiona means: latitudeand longitude dimension, time dimension, statistics dimension);tne database servicewill be coordinated by the metadata server system.(2) Using the MapGIS IGServer suspension service-oriented geographicinformation platform, combined with the popular fish-eye technology, it designs andachieves the" Fujian Statistics Information website "platform, and makes the system interface more pleasing to eye. Besides, it optimizes the spatial data query anddynamic optimization index through the Grid grid index. It also states the designbased on the component type Web GIS architecture and characteristic of functions,and reflects the preponderance of Flex from RIA in improving the user experienceand reusing the GIS function.(3) Improving the traditional realease form in two-dimensional form,enhancingthe interactive features of the data, realizing the realease form in statistical thematicmaps based on geo-spatial, making it possible for maps typesetting output print andonline statistics data mining. It is expected that Bureau of Statistics would do betterin data dissemination, which will help users get a more convenient and intuitiveaccess to statistical data, or provide the decision-making basis for statistical decision-makers.
