Since the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", as the country the implementation of the adjustment the mid-term and long-term railway network planning ", further expanding network scale, Lanzhou-Chongqing railway, Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger special line, etc, a large number of key projects in full swing for a number of material production enterprise to bring the huge business opportunities. Entered after2011, based on the railway sector policy and construction funds, and many other reasons, the overall construction schedule slows, supplies demand is greatly reduced. As main railway sleeper production sales business of Gansu J company, greater impact by the market situation changes, the enterprise operating pressure continued to rise in the short term. Product market professional, at the same time, the sleeper is limited, and the radius of line standard, transportation, product upgrades, market competition and in the next few years in Gansu province, Ningxia Hui Nationality Autonomous Region, and surrounding railway network structure gradually perfect, the new line construction mileage to reduce influence, such as gansu J company in the future development will face severe challenges and tests.Based on J company in gansu province as the research object, based on strategic management theory as the research of the theory, mainly explore the J company’s development strategy in gansu. First of all, illustrates the research background and significance, this article introduces the strategic theory and present situation of the research topic, technical route and method. Secondly, the thesis mainly revives some strategic management theories and methods of corporation, which provides a theoretical support for this research. Third, the thesis focuses on J company in Gansu analyzing internal and external strategic environment and the presence of the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats by using the PEST, Five Forces Model, EFE and internal resources analysis, IFE and the SWOT analysis method, which lays the foundation for the development of strategic research and formulate.Fourth, combining with the characteristics of railway industry and industrial manufacturing companies, using the theory of strategic management, studied the Gansu J company business strategy, clear the Gansu J company’s vision, mission and strategic objectives, formulated the overall strategy, competitive strategy and functional strategy, and puts forward some concrete ideas and methods. Fifth, from a strategic implementation procedures and implement key, safeguard measures, strategic evaluation and control elaborated the development strategy of Gansu J company on the implementation of control measures. Finally, comprehensive summary to this article, the profile shows that Gansu J company overall business situation, and main points of each part of the paper.I hope that the result of this study provides some necessary advice and references for the reform and development of the next step of Gansu J company.
