Xinjiang occupies one6of the land in our country, has rich resources reserves and theobvious advantages of foreign trade, for the development of the industry created a good congenitalconditions. Since the western development strategy implementation, the Xinjiang industry gotrapid development, the industry has gradually become the pillar industry of Xinjiang, with theXinjiang becomes large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Xinjiang economic drivingforce. Thus, to rapidly promote the economic development of Xinjiang, to focus on developmentof large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Xinjiang, and in the environment of the fiercecompetition at home and abroad to study how to improve the competitiveness of large andmedium-sized industrial enterprises in Xinjiang is particularly important.Through to the related data in2000-2010to sort out and analysis, first of all, combing thecurrent situation of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Xinjiang. Secondly, both athome and build large and medium-sized industrial enterprises competitiveness comparison basedon index system, using principal component analysis (pca) to domestic comparative study, drawlarge and medium-sized industrial enterprises competitiveness in Xinjiang in the nationalcomprehensive competitiveness ranked as the no.22, total scale and technology innovationcompetitiveness rankings for26th, assets operation competitiveness rankings for20th,management benefit competitiveness rankings for the first bit, market competitiveness rankingsfor the7th.Can be seen from the comparison results of large and medium-sized industrialenterprises in Xinjiang competition at a disadvantage domestically. Disadvantage is mainlyembodied in:(1) the total scale;(2) scientific and technological innovation;(3) capital operation.In view of the large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Xinjiang’s competitivedisadvantage and its reason were put forward six countermeasures and suggestions: Strengthengovernment guidance and services, to foster the Xinjiang industrial spirit; Keep the enterprisevitality, introducing competition mechanism; To speed up the talent introduction and cultivation,eliminate industrial enterprise talent bottleneck; Increase awareness and investment in science andtechnology innovation, sustainability production capacity; Attaches great importance to the capitaloperation, improve capital utilization; Implementation of diversified development strategy,gradually get rid of the primary strategy.Finally, in the construction of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Xinjiang competitiveness divisions comparative index system based on the comparative study usingprincipal component analysis (pca) to divisions. Comprehensive competitiveness andcompetitiveness of each principal component analysis showed: Attached to the primary processingof natural resources and the associated industry resource-based industry competitive advantagemore obvious, only a few industries do not have advantage on individual competitiveness, do nothave advantage is mainly reflected in:(1) the total scale;(2) scientific and technologicalinnovation;(3) capital operation;(4) foreign trade;(5) risk prevention. However, manufacturingindustry competitiveness is low generally, low competitiveness mainly reflects in:(1) the totalscale;(2) scientific and technological innovation;(3) the management benefit;(4) capitaloperation;(5) foreign trade. So come to Xinjiang industrial economy mainly dependent on thedevelopment of resource-based industry of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises,manufacturing industry to the development of industrial economy in Xinjiang did not do much ofthe basic conclusion. In view of this, based on the perspective of resource-based industry andmanufacturing industry, on the government and enterprise two aspects put forward further enhancethe competitiveness of six countermeasures and suggestions:Strengthen the experience exchangebetween industry, realize the advantage industry leading development; Based on regional practice,implement the strategy of industry cluster; Control the scale of primary products, increase the fineand deep processing scale; Traditional industry vitality, improve the development of high-techindustry; Perfect the system of the export trade development strategy, to improve internationalmarket share; Strengthen risk prevention awareness, and promote the stable development.
