Smart grid (Smart Power Grids) is built on the basis of the integrated, high-speed two-way communications network through advanced sensing and measurement technology, advanced equipment and technology, advanced control methods and the application of the decision support system technologies, in order to achieve the goals of reliKLility, security, economic, efficient, environmentally friendly. From the point of view of technology development and application, smart grid is a new modern advanced sensing and measuring technology, information and communication technology, analysis and decision technology, automatic control technology and energy power technologies combined and highly integrated with the grid infrastructure grid.KL company, a joint venture by the XW and CHC group company, who’s business is focused on smart grid wireless network market and system integration of small technology-based company founded in2008, already has a good market position in wireless network of power industry. KL company has been successful estKLlished a broadband power wireless network platform in nine county-level power supply company in Shandong province, and achieved the application of the remote meter reading function, real-time power balance management, distribution transformer monitoring, video of transmission surveillance, intelligent inspection requirements based on the platform. It has provided two-way wireless communication like highway. But with the change of environment, the competitive advantage is gradually losing. There are more and more company which being focused on similar business as the intensify of competition. The company’s management and operation is also facing more and more competition pressure. The internal requirement for sustainKLle development and intensify of external market competition require the adjust of competition strategy, and take some strategic measurement to consider the long-term development direction for the organization, especially the choice of business competitive strategy for industry characteristics in power wireless network business. It also require to implement measures and safeguards of the competitive strategy in the company, to mobilize resources to adapt to the future development of the company, and obtain the competitive advantages. These measures should be more feasibility and operKLility, it is the background of this research. In this paper, It analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the external environment and internal resources of KL company, the opportunities and threats to face in future, and design the focus strategy based on differentiation strategy after deploying PEST, five-forces model, value-chain model and SWOT tools according to the characteristics in the market, products and services of KL company from three aspects of product differentiation, service differentiation and application around power wireless network service. According to the specific situation, the paper puts forward the measurements to ensure the implementation of focus strategy based on differentiation from the dimension of strengthening the financial control, strengthening customer service, strengthening the enterprise culture management, the overall regional planning, optimization of business process management, strengthening the management of human resources and strengthening the marketing management.
