Greenhouse gas emissions cause climate problems. In the situation of severeclimatic, we must adopt clean energy generation instead of thermal power because thethermal power heavily pollutes air. Also, the problem of aging of the electricalequipment and power systems highly interconnected structure so that the power systemsecurity and reliability issues become particularly prominent. At the same time, powerusers have high requirements for the quality of the electrical energy. These factors makethe traditional electric power system encounter unprecedented challenges. In the grimsituation, the development of safe, reliable, economic, efficient and environment-friendlyand flexible use of smart grid is the development objectives of the future power system. Therefore, in the new environment, Studying smart grid standing academic point ofview is significant. The smart grid is a new era. In this paper, the author analyzed thecharacteristics of both supply and demand in the era of smart grid from the point ofview of economics, as well as the power company’s pricing strategy.First of all, the paper study the characteristics of the era of smart grid generationside. In the era of smart grid, there are conventional energy and renewable energy.Thermal power and hydropower are conventional energy. Wind power is typical ofrenewable energy. Through statistical analysis of wind power load, the paper analyzewind power have the characteristics of output volatility, apparent randomness, intermittent power generation. The paper also analyzes the problem that the renewableenergy connect the grid and conclude the approaches that the smart grid solve theproblem. Then the era of smart grid demand-side characteristics were analyzed. Throughstatistical analysis of electricity load of the users, the author finds that the users ofelectricity load has seasonal and daily cyclical peak and trough period, relatively largedifference between peak and valley. The same time, demand-side management betweenthe traditional grid and smart grid features were analyzed. The concluding is that thesmart grid has strong conditions to guide the user to adjust the power of time. The paperpoints out that the smart grid need to develop a reasonable pricing strategy to guide users of electricity, in order to smooth the user’s peak-to-valley.Finally, the paper established a four-step dynamic game model to descript theelectricity sales decision-making process in the area of smart grid. Then the authoranalyzed the data and found that wind power generation and users of electricity havecounter-cyclical characteristics. The author proposes a pricing model. The author givesthe mathematical expression of this model, the numerical example shows the feasibilityof this pricing model.
