In order to satisfy the competition and changing market demands, companiesreinforce their competition ability by different methods of themselves. By absorbing newtechnology and concept into the design process, prompt upgrade is performed on theirproducts. So the design teams are required to provide new product rapidly which shouldsatisfy market demands with low cost and high quality.The new product development with Concurrent Engineering mode is accepted bymanufacturing. Function departments could cooperate for short product developmentcycle. However, working in uncertain status could not be avoided during kinds of workproceed together. This may lead to risk accumulation in the early period of productdevelopment. And it is a great challenge to the process management of productdevelopment and suppliers’ management with Concurrent Engineering mode.The thesis introduces the Concurrent Engineering concept. Comparing withtraditional Engineering characteristic, CE shows the advantages on shorter developmenttiming&lower the development cost.To analyze why need to apply CE on new vehicleprogram. To analyze the development origination issue in the company, then give theproposal how to solve and improve it. To analyze vehicle develop issue in PATAC now,make improvement proposal and advice with New Cruze program. Focus on both partslevel and vehicle level. To introduce vehicle architecture develop and DQ&V method inthe vehicle program development to optimize the process. Finally I will summary thebenefit of process optimization. |
