As the profit of the whole manufacturing industry has been gradually decreased,manufacturers have to face the thin profit margins, noticing that sustaining profitgaining couldn’t be guaranteed by merely new product innovations. Gathering costadvantage,speeding up the flow of funds and streamline their own organization to dealwith the rapid change of the market. Production system is the crucial phase of survivaland realizing profit of an enterprise, manufacturers have to start optimization fromproduction system so as to dominant in the market. In certain manufacturingmanagement guidance, they can improve production systems through the cut ofinventory, improvement of logistics layout and equipment utilization, etc.This dissertation optimizes the value stream mapping tool and hammer outconstraint value stream mapping tool, as to combine lean think and theory of constraintsaiming at optimizing the production system for research purpose. A typical productionsystem had been chosen to study the implementation of constraint value streammapping tool in real circumstances. The main research contents of this dissertation areas follows:First of all, the connotation, the main contents, the thought systems and thecorresponding problems when guiding enterprises improvement using lean think and thetheory of constraints has been analyzed. The fundamental theory and methods of fuzzymathematics have been analyzed so as to establish a theory basis for the construction ofa production system improvement effects evaluation method.Secondly, the constraints value mapping tool had been presented in order to buildan appropriate improvement method for electronic production systems. Conceptualmodel of constraint value stream mapping had been hammered out, of which the mainconstraint definition and management control were the main emphasis of the research,through the optimizing of traditional value stream mapping tool.In order to predict and judge the effect of the application, a production systemimprovement effects evaluation method based on the fuzzy mathematics method hadbeen presented. The three indexes from constraint theory-effective output, inventory andoperation expenses-had been used to establish the evaluation model. Analytic hierarchyprocess (AHP) and expert scoring method have been used to analyze the influencefactors of production system operation ability, to construct the evaluation system and to set the weight of index.A representative electronic manufacturer has been selected to study the applicationof constraint value stream mapping tool. The improvement effects of the case studyhave been predicted and the corresponding forecast results have been analyzed, whichprovides some experience as reference for other electronic enterprises.
