Research On Analysis And Improvement Of Lean Production Based On Value Stream Mapping

With the slowdown in economic growth,the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce.Companies are facing increasing competitive pressures.And customers are getting higher and higher requirements,especially on price,quality,lead time and delivery.How can companies win in competition environment? As a good way to reduce cost and meet customer request,Lean production is accepted by industry and used by much more companies.Its principles and methods are meaningful to industry.Currently,more and more companies started to use lean principles and methods.But there are few successful lean cases.There are many failure reasons,and one of them is that companies have not a good way to carry on lean,which linked company's metrics.This thesis studies the method to take lean production analysis and improvement base on value stream mapping.Combined with product family's metrics,using this method to take improvement on product family one by one can get big improvements.This method is summarized by six steps.First is searching the gaps of product family,the second is drawing current VSM,the third is finding out wastes,the forth is drawing future VSM,the fifth is setting the improvement actions and the last is taking actions and following up.At the end of thesis,we give the E company's successful case to prove this method is a good way to carry on lean activities.
