The full name of1553B is MIL-STD-1553B (Aircraft internal time divisioncommand/response-multiplex data bus). The MIL-STD-1553B,issued by the U.S.Department of Defense during the late1970s,was first used in the field of militaryaviation data bus. The bus applying in the aviation field, effectively simplify theinterconnection between the aircraft equipment,improve data transmission efficiencyand reliability of the aviation system,and reduce the occupied payload frominterconnect cable。Since its announcement, because of its variety of superiorperformance, so it is soon attracted by countries in the world and expand from theaviation sector to different military weapons platforms. The1553B bus was developedfrom early1553and1553A bus,and in1987the standard was "freezed".1553B bus isthe most widely used bus for worldwide aviation system, has formed aninternationally recognized aeronautical data bus standard.1553B bus is considered tobe one of the important factors to promote the development of third-generation fighter.Now, the1553B bus is also the preferred bus for the modern avionics bus, and playsan increasingly prominent role. Be seen, research on the1553B bus is still necessary.In the eighties of the last century, China began to contact the bus, and then it beapplied in a variety of domestic and military equipment. The core part of the1553Bbus is the bus interface protocol processor, but domestic industry hasn’t suchdedicated control chip technology for producing, so it was entirely dependent onimports from foreign manufacturers. Although domestic has already begun tosystematic research on the1553B bus, and made great achievements, but the scaleand technology is far from reaching the level of developed countries in Europe andAmerica. To conduct independent research and development for1553B protocolprocessor, has significance for defense key device localization, enhance the securityof defense equipment, and promote the development of the national economy. Beforewriting, this article refers a large number of domestic and foreign materials about 1553B bus. On the basis of in-depth study of the bus protocol and design ideas,independent design1553B protocol conversion chip. Design used in the veriloghardware description language, in FPGA platform combined with the more popularSOPC technology successful realize the conversion of data formats and to sendand receive of the protocols.1553B protocol conversion chip use Alter Cyclone-IIseries to achieve. In order to verify the correctness of the design, build a test platformwith two boards. One for analog signal acquisition and analog to digital conversion,the result is encoded into the1553B protocol format and send out;Another piece ofboard to receive data from the bus cable, decoded and sent to the PC software viaUSB format. Focus on the various parts of the1553B protocol, the role of the variousparts, the design methods and specific implementation details have a more detailedexposition. Each part of the agreement after the completion of the design will useModelSim software to generate simulation diagram to verify the reasonableness of thedesign. Later of the article will test the entire system. The test results show that the1553B format encoding send card, decoding and USB converter send board, theLabVIEW PC software can correct work. This shows that the design of the ideas,methods and implementation process are reasonable and correct, and has achieved thedesired effect of this thesis.
