The Story Of Reporter Station:Multiple Game Under The Influence Of Dual Identity

In late2012, the author came into the foreign media A’s reporter station b in Chinese mainland as a pre-employment. Before the entry, a dramatic conflict was broke out in the station which was due to the competition for the power of control and resources, it course half of the staffs in the station left. But after the entry, the author also meet with some unreasonable institutional which brought heavy resistance to the work. Where exactly is the problem? Thus, the author started the field survey for4months in the reporter station B.This writing is divided into three levels include macro, meso and micro. The macro level is to analysis the environment which newspaper media A was in, analysis the news production and social control of the complex relationship, in addition to the field observation in reporter station B, the analysis also based on the report presentation materials and meeting records; the medium level focuses on the media environment which reporter station B was in, emphasis is laid on the analysis of the impact to B reporter; at the microscopic level analysis the influence of various factors come from macro and meso level on reporter station B’s news production. Analysis of news production, mainly from the news clue acquisition, resource allocation, news interview, news publishing; through the analysis of these three aspects, to find the relationship between them, and then put forward some suggestions for revision.Through the argument, the author summarized the problems into three points: first, the survival of reporter Station B is highly dependent on local government, therefore the local government can have influence on the news production of reporter station B; secondly, the reporter station comes as semi organization, course the lack of institution construction, resources is easily to concentrated into the leadership’s hands; third, in the microscopic process of news production, news clue acquisition, resource allocation, news interview, news publishing and other aspects reflect a special unique. The author summarized the reason as the contradiction of the dual identity, publicity media and foreign media, and the special media ecological environment which B reporter station was located in.The further explanation, the influence factors of B reporter station is divided into the outside and the internal organization:the main factors that influence the media from outside the organization is the governor of B Province, whose influence are mainly through economic factors, and the influence from the media organization it mainly lies in the positioning. So, in the influence of the dual identity,the reporter station became three party game for the main newspaper, the local government, the reporter station itself, but all sorts of rules extends out from the game,also caused the game between employees with different interests.In this paper, the meaning of innovation is two. First of all, in the domestic research, it’s the first time take the journalists station of newspaper A in China mainland as the research object; secondly, it use the participation observation method into the media agency, the presentation of the phenomenon and the abstract of regularity, not only can provide data in detail for the study of news production of similar in the future, it also can provide reference to media managers and the new reporters.
