The Optimization Of Paging Process In The Mobile Communication Network

With the rapid development of wireless mobile communication, the number of mobile users presents a large growth. The mobile communication network system not only need to meet the user’s growing data services, but also to meet user requirements for high-quality voice services. Therefore ensure user loyalty, and strive for a higher market share in order to improve the quality of the network is the main task for Telecom Company to face. GSM and WCDMA mobile communication system or the future4G technologies, mobile users access services are based on the paging to find the mobile users, then redistribution network resources. The paging process is a basic access procedure behavior, but also one of the important aspects of the service access. So the optimization of paging process either for voice services or data services has a very important significance.Author was involved in a part of the work of the laboratory and China Unicom cooperation projects, and primarily responsible to research the signaling data reported by the provinces and the typical case of the current network. Considered of the core network circuit domain features, we explore a new way for the paging process optimization. However it is not difficult from the research and analysis to find out that the present optimization of paging is limited to road test and network management data and it has to deal with vast amounts of data, so it consumes a large amount of human and physical resources. On the other hand, the paging strategy varies from different manufacturers, and the paging process optimization is merely a passive way. Therefore, this paper mainly research the paging process optimization from the core network side and propose the optimization in two new ways, including the signaling process optimization and modeling of network elements parameters optimization. In the method of signaling process optimization, we choose the black hole case and location update aspect to analyze. Meanwhile, in recent years, the telecom companies have been carrying out the optimization of the core network paging by network elements parameter optimization, and China Unicom has conducted a series of network elements optimization manual, constructed core network optimization platform, but not yet carried out the specific and comprehensive network elements optimization. As an entry point to the network element parameters, this paper propose the paging optimization through theoretical modeling, quantitative analysis and data verification in the current network.
