GSM Netwok Optimization Based On Circuit Switch Domain Signalling Analysis

The GSM network has currently the most extensive operation range inthe world, having the maximum number of users. The telecom operators focuson the network quality. For operators, the quality of the network affects thecompetitive power of the company deeply. The operators need optimization toensure the network running in a relatively normal condition. Thus they cangive their users a good feeling to win more customers and market.Network optimization technique developing, there have been manytechniques and methods to improve and optimize the network quality.Forexample, driving test, CQT test. These methods are certificated as effectiveand practicable way to optimize the network quality. This paper involves theuse of the CS domain signal analysis method. In background of a hugetransformation of the network structure and complexity of equipmentincreased dramatically, the operators need a new kind of optimization method.No matter what kind of optimization method used, the deepunderstanding of the structure of network is needed, especially GSM corenetwork domain (CS circuit domain). Three kinds of network architecturehave been used in the last ten years. Recently R5core network architecture isbeing deployed to replace R4network architecture and R99networkarchitecture. In the basis of NO.7signaling system, R4network architectureuses a signaling protocol stack added a number of related functions.Softswitching equipment and the use of the whole IP network have a influence onthe core network structure,in addition also bring new changes on the network optimization methods.The CS domain analysis method of signaling network optimization needsa good understanding of network structure, also need to master NO.7signaling system theory which will be mentioned in the article. The method ofCS domain signaling network optimization will be introduced in thefollowing article.Some analyzes cases will be used to prove the validity andpracticability of this method.It should be noted that, in addition to ability of CS domain signalinganalysis and knowledge of network service signaling processes, means ofinformation which is currently under construction are needed to supportoptimization. This will be involved in the article.
