Design And Implementation Of Knowledge Capturing And Knowledge Management In Enterprise Kms Based On Wiki

In this modern economic age, knowledge has become the most valuable resources for many enterprises. Intangible resources such as information, technology and brand also play an increasingly important role in modern society. So research interest in knowledge management (KM) has grown rapidly during these years.In the process of conducting knowledge management, those so called document-intensive enterprise should capture and gather knowledge inside the enterprise as more as possible. What’s more, they also need to initialize all the knowledge into the knowledge management system(KMS). This initialization phase is quite time-consuming because that different systems are based on different technologies, in other words, each system has their own way to express knowledge, system administrators need to convert all knowledge into standard forms according to the basic system technologies.Wiki is a website system using markup language. It consists of Wiki pages and links. Users can not only see Wiki page contents via a web browser, but also add, modify, or delete them if they are authorized. Wiki pages are essentially HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) pages. Like any other web page, a Wiki page can display a variety of elements, such as images, soundtracks, videos, etc. We use Wiki technology and Wiki pages to store, express and manage knowledge.Based on Wiki knowledge management system(KMS), we aim to solve data initialization and knowledge management issues with some specific work as follows:1) We make a brief introduction about some related technologies and concepts such as knowledge management, Wiki and knowledge map. 2) We analyse the whole data initialization phase, design and implement the data initialization module to automatically conduct the data converting process.3) We take full advantage of Wiki system to offer management for initialized knowledge data, including user and right management, classification and navigation of wiki page, version control and maintenance, etc.4) We propose a roadmap to build enterprise knowledge map based on this Wiki knowledge management system.
