In the information age, support by the network technology and the multimediatechnology, popular science also adapt to the social trends, network popular science hasbecome an important way for science communication, science organization office also realizeautomation, the variety of popular service application systems increase. But with thedevelopment of information popular science, in the face of challenges of big demand of ITresources, popular science resource sharing, science project investment decision-making,science project evaluation, mass data processing, scientific popularization service platformthat is low price, easily extensible, customizable become the needs of the new era ofdevelopment. However,as a new computing model, Cloud Computing provides a new wayto solve the above problems, provides opportunity for the construction of sciencepopularization service platform.This paper first discusses the concept, service types and deployment models of cloudcomputing, and analysis of the superiority and feasibility of science popularization serviceplatform based on cloud computing, to provide support for the significance of study onpopular science service cloud platform. Then, discusses the connotation and construction goalof the science popularization service platform, research the basic architecture of cloudsplatform, put forward the overall model and application architecture of cloud computingscience service platform.To solve the problem of science project decision-making, the article proposes to build theCloud computing science project investment decision based on meta-synthesis discussing Halland put forward its system architecture.Combined with the actual needs of the GuangzhouScience and Technology Center, this paper put forwards to build the evaluation system of thescience project based on cloud platform and carry on the demand analysis and function design. The research of this paper provides the valuable ideas for the development of sciencepopularization service platform and its application system.
