Production Logistics is the core area of enterprise logistics which links various manufacturing processes and is the focus of logistics management and improvement. With management informatization moves forward, a number of companies introduced and set up some management software, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) in order to assist the implementation of the production logistics and enhance the level of its management. However, most of the management software just assists the production logistics business processes and data management, without the function of analysis and decision-making. In addition, the production logistics data are often unable to accurately obtain with ERP in practice, and even worse people often estimate the parameter with patting their heads. This inaccurate or wrong data set by people may result in the loss of companies during runtime. Therefore, due to the situation, this project proposed the establishment of production logistics parameters setting, simulation and optimization system. The project is based on the study of production logistics system design, using computer technology and simulation software, in order to assist the setting process of production logistics parameters scientifically and reasonably. Meanwhile, the design parameters are also optimized through simulation to find the best solution for company current situation and provide data to support ERP system for best production logistics management.There are six parts of this dissertation:Chapter1and2introduced the context and significant of this research and the scope of coverage. It also described the state of the art in domestic and foreign research and literature review and summarized the research methodology which was used in this dissertation.Chapter3first analyzed the necessity and technical feasibility of this research and stated its position on enterprise management software. Then, based on the former study of the production logistics system, the parameters setting, simulation and optimization model was proposed and designed by using IDEFO, to improve the overall system functions and objectives.Chapter4is the main part of this dissertation, which presented the setting and optimization processes of each parameter in production, inventory and transportation parts and the relations among them. In addition, the database and interface of the production part parameters were initially designed in order to guide the software development work.Chapter5established the production logistics system model by using Petri Net (PN). The basic element, parameters and basic process units of production logistics system were expressed into PN models and their dynamic status were also analyzed one by one with the purpose of setting up the foundation of system simulation model.Chapter6is a case study based on an oil pump assembly company. The production logistics parameters of this company were set according to the research model and then evaluated and optimized by using simulation software Witness into this system.
