With the rapid development of production technology and the impact of globalcompetition, domestic manufacturers are facing unprecedented opportunities andchallenges. Domestic and foreign enterprises have realized the important status androle of the production logistics in production activities. Logistics is seen as"thethird profit source of business", "the effective way of enhancing the corecompetitiveness of enterprises and economic benefits." Because of the late start oflogistics theory, its development is not perfect enough; manufacturers have manyproblems in logistics. Therefore, optimize production plant configuration,strengthen the production logistics management,shorten the production cycle ofproducts is of great significance to reduce logistics costs and improve thecompetitiveness of enterprises.In this paper, we summarize the current situation of domestic and internationallogistics management and production management; describe in detail thedevelopment of production logistics, sum up the technical studied for the productionlogistics routes. The production objects and types of production equipment studiedin this paper through the production logistics processes is more involved, while theproduction process is also more complex, so this paper is based on the theory of thebasic Petri net, and according to the features of the production logistics, proposed anew modeling method: hierarchical colored Petri nets in way of modeling andoptimizing the engine parts production logistics processes. Specifically, hierarchicalcolored Petri net has the following advantages: Hierarchical Colored Petri netdefines the color library, enhances the capability of arc expression, unifiesModeling different types of parts production process, thus avoids that the ColoredPetri net model of production process is too large and cluttered. Hierarchicalcolored Petri nets can model hierarchically, so the model has the modular features,making it easy to reuse and optimize the model.In the base of hierarchical colored Petri net model, use Flexsim simulationsoftware to simulate the production logistics research by running the simulationmodel of production logistics system to identify bottlenecks in the existingproposed optimization scheme, compared to simulation data before and after optimization, and ultimately realize the optimization of production logistics andimprove the production efficiency.
