With the development of global economic integration, the competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises becomes fiercer, as the third source of profit, logistics becomes more and more important and should be played more attention to. In the entire production process of production, most of the time is used for storage, handling, processing and transportation waiting. Therefore, study of production logistics system is the important means to increase production efficiency, reduce production costs and improve the equipment utilization. At the same time, the production logistics system is a kind of complex discrete event system, traditional analysis becomes more difficult. Computer simulation method is a kind of good methods to analysis the production logistics system currently. The hidden problems of systems may be found through the simulation.Firstly, basic theory of the modeling and simulation are summarized. Then give the comparison of the current methods for optimize the logistics systems and the main simulation software. According to the research in Jiangxi Maidan steering gear manufacturer, based on the analysis of the enterprise supply chain, production and logistics management system, and the theory of Petri nets, build the production logistics system model for describe the discrete event.Secondly, the theory of system simulation, discrete event simulation system strategy and professional simulation technology of Witness are summarized. Based on the physical model of Petri net, set the simulation model using Witness technology. Use the coporate profit maximization as the goal, build the objective function. And use the optimizer to optimize the objective function then analysis the first 10 best programs, Choose the first three program to carry out simulation compare the results of three simulation parameters the determine the optimal program and guide the real system.Finally, based on actual research on the corporate, according the problems that the low utilization of the equipment in the production workshop and the low utilization of worker in the inspection workshop, based on the simulation system. Design two simulation models to solve the problems.
