Design And Implementation Of GPS Smart Gas Pipeline Patrol System Based On Android

In order to ensure a continuous supply of gas, it is important that gas pipeline network and its ancillary equipment is reliable and safe operation, therefore, line inspection work should be carried out regular or irregular. For better line patrol personnel management, timely and reliable delivery processing risks and problems that inspections found, to ensure safe and reliable continuous operation of gas pipeline, gas patrol management information system came into being. With continuous development of computers and mobile communications technology, smart phone has been favored by more and more companies as platform of gas line inspection system. Android operating system-based smart phones, what often have mobile data transmission, GPS satellite positioning, camera and other functions, become more and more users choose with its low price, good scalability and openness. It provides a good platform for the development of gas line inspection system on Android phone.This paper summarizes previous work, and a new platform for line inspection system based on the needs of users come into being, which is stable, lightweight. inexpensive, can be positioned, that is to say. GPS smart gas pipeline patrol system based on Android come into being. This system is CVS structure, uses multi-threaded and Android mobile phone’s own functional modules to programming, solves the problem of lax oversight, the low efficiency of data exchange and higher costs. This paper introduces the background and domestic and international research status at first, then analyses the system requirement. According to the requirement, this paper uses multithreading technology to achieve server-side communication module, uses Android language to achieve overall client-side software, including communication module, map positioning module, background timing module and others, and displays client-side software at end.In this paper, Android smart phone is used first as carrier, developed GPS smart gas pipeline patrol system which meet demand, achieve the communication between terminal software and server-side management software, complete the GIS technology on smart phone, reduce the gas company’s cost, and improve work efficiency. The GPS smart gas line inspection system in this article has been put into practical operation in the China Gas Group, Shenyang fuel, indicating that this system has an important value in reducing production costs, improve the reliability of gas pipeline running and line patrol personnel management level.
