In the past, House was divided into different rooms in the form of the function, andthe Household equipment was desgined for a specific application. Now, with thetechnology revolution and the development of times, the traditional forms of housingcan no longer satisfy the people. Therfore, it has become an increasingly pressing issueto comply with the requirement of the new era in home and to meet the demand of thenew system through integrating of the existing equipment.The thesis illustrates the characteristics of the modern technology. It takes theembedded mobile system Android and the theory of device control, informationtransmission as the technologic basis. Besides, the needs of smart home and technologytrends are analyzied in detail. According to the above, the thesis gives the design andcorresponding implementation of architecture and control information system of smarthome’s gateway, which is based on Android system. The main content is as follow:1. The operation mechanism of the Android system is studied. By this, thehuman-computer interaction is designed and implemented to achieve efficeientcommunication with the user interface. This is mainly to study the characteristics, thecontext and the points of the controls provided by the system. Besides, it offers themethods to modify or extend these controls in personal needs. All of these are used toform a concise, easy-to-understand user interface, so that it can offer user a betterexperience.2. The principle of controlling the existing household equipment is analysied.Retrofitting the equipment, which do not have a wireless control or other non-manualcontrol, is to meet the requirements of the entire wireless system through the masteredtheory. All equipments that may be used are classified in accordance with these owncharacteristics and functional requirements. In the end, the corresponding functionclasses are develped.3. The mechanism of the Android system’s local code is analyzied in depth. By theJNI mechanism, the Android system can send control information through serial ports.The method takes advatange of the Android NDK technology to call the local code’s serial communication function, then to connect a wireless module cc2511through theUSB interface, which thereby enable the system with wireless communication.Bluetooth,2.4G and infrared technology are integrated into a signal repeater Center, andthe circuit of the modules and information transmission mechanism are designed tostrengthen the system.That can expand the distance and enhance the range of the systemcontrollable devices.4. The data storage and network connections of the Android system arereaserchered and these are used to meet with the system requirements. On the one hand,this content is to study and apply the operational mechanisms and operatingcharacteristics of specific sqlite database of the Android system.On the other hand, it isto research principles and methods of the HTTP and Socket communication, so that thesystem can provide an access to existing network to gain more functional service.
