As one professional curriculum of computer application major, Photoshop holds animportant position in the curriculum, and it is also the basis of succeed curriculum–“web designand making”. Higher occupational colleges which take market requirement as its guide, and aimat cultivating higher skilled talents, generally offer relevant majors, in which Photoshop is one ofthe core curriculums. The curriculum of Photoshop includes the multiple knowledge and abilityof drawing, aesthetics and computer operation skills and so on. The nature of the curriculumdetermines the teaching of the curriculum can’t adopt traditional teaching methods, but explorenew diversified teaching methods with scientism advanced with the times. The teaching processshould be improved so as to advance the quality of teaching, and meet requirement of talentmarket.As one professional required curriculum in vocational college, Photoshop image processingcurriculum pays more attention to the formation of manipulative ability, which has obviousdifference from other curriculum. Therefore, in the Photoshop teaching process of highervocational education, adopting what kind of teaching method and teaching model in order toadapt for the feature of this curriculum is first to consider. However, there’s some problem in theactual Photoshop classroom teaching. Some teachers repeat what the book says step-by-step andsome teachers carry out teaching activities by teachers operating as explaining and studentswatching. This way, it is true that the teaching tasks have been finished, but in the learningprocess students lack positive motivation, driving force in thought, and experience of curriculumideological system, so they haven’t cultivated manipulative ability fundamentally.Higher vocational colleges, is the higher occupation colleges for short, is an important partof higher education. Is to cultivate a certain theoretical knowledge and practical ability,grass-roots, for production, service and management for first-line occupation post practical,technical and skilled talents for the purpose of higher education is the higher stage, occupationtechnology education.After analyzing the problems in Photoshop classroom teaching of higher vocationalcomputer application technology major and discussing the connotations and features oftask-driven teaching method, this paper proposes that theories of motivation, cooperativelearning, investigative study and constructivism study are the theoretical basis of task-driventeaching method, and structured Photoshop teaching design of higher vocational computer application technology major on the base of task-driven teaching method. Though theexperiment of one term, finally on the basis of the analysis of experimental data and studentquestionnaire, this paper conclude that adopting task-driven teaching method in highervocational Photoshop teaching can increase positive motivation of the students effectively, andcultivate autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning ability of the students, and suchability’s cultivating contributes a great deal in students’ actual work in the near future.Task-driven teaching method helps students obtain knowledge actively instead of receiveknowledge passively, promotes students develop overall quality such as ability of Photoshopapplication, independent study and cooperative learning etc, and accommodate the requirementsof cultivation to higher vocational computer skilled talents. As a feasible effective teachingmethod, Task-driven teaching method is known and advocated by front-line computer teachersgenerally. It is hoped that the study of this paper can provide feasibility reference for highervocational college curriculum “Photoshop image processing” to carry out task-driven teachingmethod.This study was based on the higher occupation colleges computer application technologyprofessional graphic design Photoshop classroom teaching and, through the experiment that thehigher occupation colleges in Photoshop classroom teaching of task-driven mode applicationhelps to improve the students’ learning initiative, and is conducive to the development ofteachers’ occupation ability, is conducive to the promotion of Photoshop class teaching. And putforward for the future of higher occupation colleges in Photoshop classroom teaching in theimplementation of the task driving method pay attention to is: the use of task-driven teachingaccording to the characteristics of students in the higher occupation colleges, task design to adaptto the characteristics of the occupation education, on the basis of task-based approach and manyother teaching methods.
