As the progress and development of the electronic technology, computer application technology, communication technology and network technology, storage of agricultural products also marched into the era of modernization and scientific way. Temperature and humidity of grain depot is the main parameter, it can reflect the grain storage situation, which is the main basis of grain regulation and take measures. The monitoring technology of grain’s temperature and humidity is one the key of scientific protection of grain reserves, provides assurance and scientific basis to scientific and safe grain storage.This paper apply wireless sensor network technology and computer technology to the temperature and humidity monitoring system of grain depot, for the special grain storage environment and the requirements of convenient and accurate grain temperature measurement, designed a grain depot temperature and humidity monitoring system with location information, which is based on ZigBee technology. System design based on the principle of low-cost, low power consumption and high reliability, using ZigBee wireless sensor network technology make up the wireless communication network in the grain depot, with the wireless network timing collect the temperature and humidity data of grain depot, analyse, processing and save the data, the data will eventually displayed in the monitoring center, intuitive present it in front of the monitors.At first, this paper analyzed the significance of grain storage and the current research status of grain monitoring system, simply described the meaning of temperature and humidity monitoring of grain depot, introduced several kinds of wireless communication technology and why choose ZigBee technology. Then detailed introduced protocol architecture of ZigBee technology and the characteristics of each sub-layer, specified the safety of ZigBee specially. Considering the networking of ZigBee network is the key to application in practice, this paper introduced the ZigBee network equipment types, ZigBee network topology structure and its formation process. Due to the design of grain depot temperature and humidity monitoring system with position information, this paper further discusses positioning technology and its classification method, and focus on analysis of localization algorithm based on distance, introduces some related algorithm, especially analyzed CC2431localization engines and its working principle and influence parameters. This design of grain depot wireless monitoring system based on the above theory basises, this paper respectively introduced the hardware and software design of the the network coordinator, monitoring node and beacon node three development platform parts, system monitoring software was designed using LabVIEW, and parts of the circuit diagram and the implementation code were also given. This article has carried on the simulation of temperature and humidity acquisition test of Grain Depot Temperature and Humidity Monitoring System, test results and analysis were presented. The experimental tests in this paper showed that the proposed Grain Depot Temperature and Humidity Monitoring System with Location Information has reached the expected goal.
