Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) inherits large scale,high integrated level and high reliability of Application Specific Integrated Circuits(ASIC),and overcome long cycle,large investment and poor flexibility of the common ASIC,which has gradually become the ideal choice for complex digital hardware circuit design. In recent years FPGA has been developing rapidly, the application area of its products from the original communication infrastructure extends to automotive electronics, industrial control, digital image processing, etc. This thesis comes from the ministry of transport construction sciene and technology project "Key Technology and Demonstration of Helicoper Rescue Ability Promotion of Severe Sea Condition".and develops the Four Channel Interested Image Window System(Interested Image Window System,for short) based on FPGA in order to realize the real-time extraction of Region-of-Interest of shooting image. The Interested Image Window System is divided into the following two parts:the master part and the slave part.The master part is responsible for the set of parameters and commands,and it can collect,store and display image data;the slave part is responsible for processing the output of image data of High-resolution CMOS Imaging System(CMOS Imaging System,for short) which is developed by our lab independently,it devides the output of image data of CMOS Imaging System into four roads output,and each output can set the Region-of-Interest according to the needs of the user at the same time.In this design, FPGA is the core of control system. It receives the parameters and control commands from PC and controls CMOS Imaging System. It also can read, process and output image data. Firstly, the Interested Image Window System receives parameters and control commands from PC through RS422interface. It retains its own parameters and commands, and forwards the parameters and commands of CMOS Imaging System. Then, CMOS Imaging System shoots the image after receiving parameters and control commands, and transmits the image to Interested Image Window System by LVDS interface. After the process of four-channel real-time image, the Interested Image Window System transmits the image to PC through LVDS interface.This thesis also can realize real-time discrete blind pixel compensation based on the FPGA, blind pixel transmission and storage use USB and Flash, According to requirements the system also added the RGB separate output function.The master part choose VC++as the development environment,using MFC to design Interactive Interface.After the completion of the design,by the debugging of the whole system.the system can realize real-time extraction of Region-of-Interest.After test.the function of the system satisfies the requirement of real-time performance and stability.
