With the development of aerospace technology,more and more specifications of image storing system are required, such as speed,power consumption and reliability.Meanwhile it is profoundly needed for those massive image data to be transmitted back on the ground station in order to do some further analysis and processing,which requires a reliable data storing and transmission system.So in this thesis, we designed a equipment based on LVDS to complete the image data storing and transmitting tasks.The equipment is built based on a CPU and FPGA hardware combination,which receives the digital image signals through LVDS bus and transmits these signals back to the editing device through RS422 interface in the form of PCM serial code. The design takes full advantages of CPU's controlling and processing abilities, and successfully accomplishes the control of the system's working mode. Because of FPGA's short development cycle and strong reconstructing ability, together with the powerful hardware descriptive language VHDL, the hardware interface and related logic timing module are well constructed. With high-speed SRAM working as the image data buffer, image data's seamless caching, storing and transmission are well completed. This kind of off-line image storing and transmission system saves development cost, shortens the development cycle,and provides a lot of advantages, such as small size,strong flexibility and high reliability.In this thesis,we introduces the application of LVDS based high-speed bus transmission technology, discusses related functional modules and some specific design principles,and explains several problems encountered in the design and gives out the corresponding measures. A set of testing is applied on the system to verify each module,and the testing results prove the feasibility,reliability and versatility of this design.
