The traditional temperature monitoring systems of environment are wired, due tothe special geographical conditions, such as in the coal mine, it takes a long time tocomplete the wiring project, and its cost is high, the project is even impossible toachieve. Therefore, a wireless temperature monitoring system is designed by theZigbee wireless sensor network technology in this paper, the Zigbee wireless sensornetworks is formed in the system, the temperature signal of monitoring region iscollected, and the Zigbee wireless sensor network is connected with the Ethernet, theinformation of the Zigbee wireless sensor network collected is sent to the remotemonitoring center, the entire network system is controlled by the monitoring center, inthis way, the purpose of remote monitoring is come true.The advantages and disadvantages of several wireless communication technologyis analyzed in the paper, the conclusion of that Zigbee technology is best suited to thissystem for forming wireless temperature sensor network is draw out, the design ideas、requirements、methods and objectives are described in detail, The hardware andsoftware of the system is designed. In the paper, the Zigbee wireless sensor network isconnected with the Ethernet by networking technology, the time of wireless network iscorrected by Time Protocol, the design ideas of the embedded server is put forward.Finally, the system was tested, the advantages and disadvantages of the system aresummarized, the inadequacies of the system and the methods of improving areproposed.The system has a good man-machine interface and a remote access effect, theoperating system has a good portability. The expansion of the system is good, in orderto achieve more function, the user could increase other sensor in the sensor nodeseasily if it’s needed.
