Research On Building National Image From The Military Column Of CCTV-7

In the tide of globalization, national image is crucial to the country’s survival anddevelopment. As the national official media, CCTV-7not only bear the militarypropaganda work,but also undertake the national image-building task.What kind ofcharacteristic does military columns of CCTV-7has?What kind of image does thecolumn shape?What kind of meaning does the this image broadcast?And how toimprove the image building in order to serve the country better is the purpose of thisresearch.This paper will study the above problems with case analysis,sampling surveymethod.Through the analysis and summary of the data and documents I found thatmilitary column of CCTV-7broadcast information of PLA with materials related tonews,feature films,documentaries which are broadcasted through television, networkand other channels of communication.And the columns created a national image ofChina which is growing,willing to communicate and cooperate with othercountries,having the ability and sense of responsibility,having the internationalhumanitarian spirit,dedicating to world peace.This image mainly conveys certaininformation,compling with the requirements of the times and the situation home andabroad.And this image has a certain positive significance in the current situation athome and abroad,and strives for the space of the development of the country.Globalization makes countries around the world including China pay more attention tothe soft power of national image.As the country’s military official media, CCTV-7both home and abroad have a certain influence.Military columns need to be furthercombined with the development of the times and the domestic and foreign situationdemands.And gradually enhance the ability of column production and disseminationto promote the national image.And get a favorable environment for development athome and abroad.
