The Construction Of National Image In The Parade Broadcast By CCTV Since The Reform And Opening Up

Live broadcast of the parade is the general way in which people learn of parades that have been held,and mass media plays a key role in shaping and disseminating the national image.Due to the improvement and development of the social sciences and technology in different times,great changes have taken place in the way and content of live TV.Meanwhile,the live TV parade,which is currently undergoing some historical changes,reflects to some extent the general situation of live TV,which is also in the midst of historical changes.Since reform and opening up,there have been five representative national military parades.They were respectively the National Day military parade in 1984 to celebrate the 35 th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China,the National Day military parade in 1999 to celebrate the 50 th anniversary of the country's founding,the 60 th anniversary National Day military parade in 2009,the military parade in 2015 for the 70 th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression(1931-45)and the military parade marking the 90 th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army in 2017.Since 1984,the State broadcaster CCTV has been responsible for the live broadcast of each parade.Therefore,this paper mainly takes the TV broadcast of five military parade ceremonies since the reform and opening up as the research object and applies literature research method,case study method,comparative analysis method and historical analysis method,and combines them with semiotics,media ritual,discourse analysis and other relevant theories.According to the national image construction function and national image construction mode of CCTV parade broadcast,the national image construction in parade broadcast is analyzed and explored from the key elements of national image transmission,strengthening and shaping in the construction mode.Through the presentation of TV pictures and expression of discourse,analyze the dissemination and reinforcement of national image in the live broadcast of the parade.and summarizes and explains the content of national image.Then,vertically compare the changes and unification of national image construction in the five live parades,and summarize the characteristics of the national image construction in the live parades.so as to review the live coverage of the military parades on CCTV since reform and opening up,with suggestions put forward.The first chapter of this paper includes five parts: research significance,research review,research methods,relevant research theories,reasons for case selection and definition of basic concepts..The second chapter first describes the research background of the construction of national image in the live coverage of the parade by CCTV since the reform and opening up,and then summarizes the historical background and the live coverage of the parade by CCTV on five separate occasions.The third chapter,based on the national image construction function and mode of CCTV parade broadcast,explores the construction of national image from the aspects of the transmission,strengthening and shaping of national image during the parade broadcast.The live broadcast of CCTV parade has the functions of displaying,spreading,strengthening and emotional cohesion of national image construction.The basic construction mode includes two important links of communication and shaping.This paper first studies the dissemination and reinforcement of national image from the screen presentation and discourse expression of five live parades.In terms of screen presentation,the TV language symbols appearing in the five live broadcasts of the military parade were counted and classified.Combined with the historical background,the symbolic significance of the representative symbols in each live broadcast of the military parade were analyzed.The second is to explore the ritualized expression of CCTV's live parade broadcast,namely,the live broadcast of the parade on CCTV spreads the national image by means of visual picture presentation and audio auditory transmission.In terms of discourse expression,this paper analyzes the discourse text and context of CCTV parade broadcast,so as to explore the essence of discourse and strengthen the national image.Then this paper generalizes the concrete content of the national image constructed by the live broadcast of the five military parades on CCTV.The fourth chapter summarizes the remarkable characteristics of the national image construction through the CCTV parade broadcast,and compares the changes and unification of the national image construction of the five CCTV parade broadcasts since the reform and opening up.The fifth chapter provides a deep reflection on the construction of the national image in CCTV's live coverage of the parades and puts forward some corresponding suggestions for the future parade live broadcast.Finally,the conclusion points out areas that can be improved.
