Linguistic Analysis Of The TV Life-service Program

As a type of TV program with high rate, life-service program which includes image symbol, sound symbol and letter symbol has abundant contents and various forms. This paper analyze the newest corpus of TV life-service program in2012with the knowledge of linguistic, pragmatics and communication from aspects of language and pragmatics.Analysis of language involves three aspects:sounds, vocabulary and grammar. In the aspect of sounds, the program has constant phonological changes which could express feeling and willingness. In the aspect of vocabulary, the program has various words that include mood words, onomatopoeia words and foreign words. Catchword, industry lingo, dialectal words and idioms which are contained in general vocabulary all appear in the program. In the aspect of grammar, grammatical structure of the program is very loose. There are lots of short sentence, flexible words order and insert sentence in the program, and repeat wordy and ellipsis are common phenomenon.In the pragmatic aspect of the program, we analyzed social environment, specific situation, subject environment and discourse environment with contextual theory. We applied of conversation analysis theory to describe the general structure and partial structure of the program. We analyzed cooperative principle and appropriateness principle in the conversation of the program and we emphasized the proper salutation criterion.Through analysis of language and pragmatics, we found that life-service program conversation was similar as daily conversation, but actually they were different. So we talked about the difference and put forward the skill to improve the effect of communication.
