Research Of Beidou Maritime Terminal Application Based On Android

In November2007, United States Google company Android operating system has released a Linux-kernel-based operating system-Android.This system is the world’s first mobile terminal created for open and complete mobile operating system platform. What the application development relies on operating system is the Android operating system. Based on the Android operating system,we uses Bluetooth technology to control the Beidou satellite navigation system and to finish short message sending and receiving applications.In the process of development and design, first we should complete Android-based compass marine terminal application main interface and short message sending and receiving interface design. In the interface design process, first we shoule complete Android development environment create. Secondly, we must complete the main interface and a short message sending and receiving interface specific code write. Finally, we shoule create the Android virtual device to finish the main interface design and short message sending and receiving interface’s test.The next work is to build the communication between Android smartphone and compass bluetooth module. In the process of establishing the bluetooth communication, we must first call with the Bluetooth communication-related API function to finsih the connection between Android smartphone and compass bluetooth module. Secondly, after we has completed bluetooth communication connection, we shoule use bluetooth socket input and output functions to finish the data streams input and output.The application design’s significance lies in the case of at sea there is no mobile phone signal, the ship operator can accomplish this design applications to achieve short message transmission of messages. If the vessel is in distress, ship operators can be very timely report to the relevant maritime authorities for maritime search and rescue and relief help.
