A Study on the Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Competitiveness from aClustering Innovation Perspective: the Case of Jilin ProvinceIndustry cluster competitiveness represents the regional economic developmentability. Therefore, the scientific evaluation of industrial clusters competitiveness caneffectively guide the benign development of regional economy. With the deepresearch of industrial clusters competitiveness, it is urgent to combine support system(especially support system which contains spatial information) with industrial cluster,so as to make the study of industry cluster competitiveness more deeply. This papermakes a detail study of the development of support systems and the related theory,and develops a support system applied to evaluate the industrial clustercompetitiveness combined with the related issues on the industrial clustercompetitiveness evaluation currently. This system, which takes Microsoft VisualStudio2010as development platform, is based on ArcEngine software developed byESRI Company as technical support, and uses C#language for development. Thetraditional three parts system structure is composed by database module, modellibrary module and human-computer interaction module. The human-computerinteraction module mainly includes the GIS module, which is achieved by usingArcEngine software for secondary development of GIS. The visual interface of thesystem, which has the GIS corresponding map function, integrates the function ofspatial analysis and professional model selection. Database module includes thedatabase management subsystem and two parallel database, spatial database andevaluation index database. Evaluation index database and spatial database can realizeindirect association and data sharing through special field. The spatial data can bestratified according to object element layer. In the development process, we applyArcEngine secondary development software to integrating ArcGIS, so as to realizethe operation of spatial data and layer. Meanwhile, the measure, development statusand distribution of industry cluster will be presented to the user visually through difference color chart and contrast diagram by integrating GIS thematic map function.Model library module is composed of model base management subsystem and modelbase. The article evaluates industrial clusters competitiveness with spatial analysismodel and statistical model. The entire professional statistical model are realized byMatlab modeling and integrated by DLL dynamic link library. In this paper, EG indexmodel and Location Quotient model are used to the selection and measure for cluster;cluster innovation model is applied to evaluating the cluster competitiveness; spatialautocorrelation (Moran I), hot spot analysis (Getis-word Gi*) and clustering andoutlier model (Anselin Local Moran I) are all used to analyze the cluster distributionlaw and the degree of geographical spatial agglomeration. Therefore, the spatialanalysis and professional statistical analysis can provide better support for theevaluation of industrial clusters competitiveness. This system belongs to the appliedsupport system based on GIS secondary development, which has a friendly interface,strong practicality and extensibility, so it can provide effective support for theresearch of industrial clusters competitiveness.
