The six systems for safety and hedge in metal and nonmetal undergroundmine is a measure proposed by the State Administration of Work Safety, whichpurpose is fundamentally control security risk and improves safety assuranceability of underground mines. It is consisting of personnel regional positioningsystem, monitoring and supervision system, communication system, emergencyrefuge system, compressed-air self-help system, water rescue system. Personnelregional positioning system is one of its subsystems. Its function mainly formonitoring the real-time location and the precise number of underground miners,provides managers with attendance and management data, and provided thelocation of the miners when a disaster happens, so we can carry out a rescuequickly and efficiently.This paper studies the design and implementation of personnel regionalpositioning system in metal and nonmetal underground mine. The main work ofthis paper as follow:1. Introduce the contents, development background and development statusof the six systems in metal and nonmetal underground mine.2. Give the requirements analysis of the personnel regional positioningsystem based on the environment of the underground mines and the regulationsfor the construction of the system; and design the overall structure of thepersonnel positioning system within the requirements, select ZigBee technology,the RSSI algorithm and CAN bus to achieve the personnel regional positioningsystem.3. Analyze In-depth of the ZigBee protocol stack; design the hardwarecircuit of the identification card with ZICM2410wireless modules, complete theidentification card’s program with the transformation of the ZigBee protocolstack;4. Research and analyze the function of positioning base station, and selectSTM32F107VCT6as the processor; complete hardware circuit of positioningbase station’s modules, such as the minimum system of processor, power supplymodule, ZigBee module, CAN bus module, Ethernet module; introduce the process of the positioning base station’s program, realize the transplantation ofLwIP and the drivers of serial ports and CAN bus; finally test the identificationcard and positioning base station, and meet the requirements of the design.5. Develop the management software of personnel regional positioningsystem with.NET technology, select SQL server2005as the database of thesystem, and achieve the management and monitoring functions of personnelregional positioning system.The personnel regional positioning system implemented in this paper hasbeen applied in actual mine, the result shows that the system can operate stably,and the results of personnel monitoring and management functions have reachedthe requirements of design.
