In the information age, as the security of consciousness gradually, monitoringsystem has been widely applied to all walks of life. Embedded network videomonitoring system which is as an important brance and part of embedded networkmonitoring system plays an underestimates role.In the remote image monitoring system which is achieved by emerging SOPCtechnology, give full play to the high-speed parallel of hardware circuit and flexibleof software, not only Not only improving the system integrity and stability, but alsoimproveing the speed.of image acquisition and processingFirst of all, the module of image acquisition, storage which need complexcomputation and a lot of time are realized by the FPGA hardware circuits, but alsothe contorller of network card and image acquisition is adopted the IP core of systemcustomization, which is designed by the Verilog language and C programminglanguage based on NiosⅡsoft coordinate working, to control the image collectionand exposure time. The system adopts JPEG image compression algorithm, andoptimizes2D-DCT.Secondly, MicroC/OS-Ⅱoperating system which has been transplanted onAltera company’s NiosⅡprocessor, in which the system transplants LWIP protocolstack, programe DM9000A driver, and adopts standard socket interface, throughInternet for network commuication, to realize the network real-time monitoringfunction.This paper first studys the system structure and function, then contrast a varietyof programs to determine the system design program; Analyse the image acquisition,storage, the optimization of JPEG algorithm and the pinciple and method of imageethernet transmission; Introduces the transplantation methods of MicroC/OS-Ⅱsystem and LWIP protocol stack, and DM9000A driver programming method, thendesigns the system software process. In the last part of the paper describes simulation process of every important function modules of the system and gives test results,verify the system perfomance, realizes the basic functions of the system, realizes theimage remote monitoring.
