Objective:Heart disease is one of the most serious diseases that threat human health. ECG(electrocardiogram) monitor can pick up and display the electrocardiogram signal of the patients in the real time,and it is one of the most important instruments for doctor to know the disease and its development, the recovery condition of their patients. For miocardial infarction,arrhythmia,etc.ECG monitor would be used in the whole cure and recovery process. With the constant elevation of modern medical development,the request for the ECG monitor is up-and-up. The monitor based on PC could not satisfy the need,because of it need cables,hardly to move.This article is based upon the developing pruction of modern embedded system and daily maturity and perfect of wireless communicating technology to design a portable wireless multi-patient ECG monitor which can monitor several patients at the same time.Methods:This monitor is composed of two part:monitor terminal that monitor one patient and monitor center. In the whole configuration,it use RF chip nRF401to carry the wireless data transmission in short distance. The MCU of monitor terminal is S3C2410with ARM920T in it, the operating system is Windows CE real time embedded system. The entire hardware system contains a minimum system with a MCU as core and NAND Flash as memory equipment. It adopts the power supply that adapts to portable instrument,integrates kinds of external equipment and designs analog signals magnifing and filter circuit aimed at character of electrocardiogram signal. Monitor center utilizes computer serial port to control RF module for carrying out wireless data transmission.The system software is based on Windows CE operating system,and contains compiling driver program and application software aiming at the function of detecting system.Results:The test indicates that the ECG signal amplifier of monitor terminal designed has a good performance in gathering and amplifying ECG signals; monitor terminal can carry out ECG collection,storage and display. The ECG data can be transmitted with accuracy via wireless transmission module within the testing distance of50meters, the monitor center can monitor four patients in real time.Conclusion:This article designs a portable multi-patient ECG monitor based on wireless transmission. The system uses RF chip nRF401to transmit data in short distance,which needs no wires,used conveniently and has strong anti-jamming ability. The monitor has high hardware integration,small volume and low power cost, and it is convenient for patient to carry with them,gives patients preferable monitor without limiting their daily action.
