The Research On Wireless Video Transmission System Based On ARM9

Wireless video transmission system is widely used in security, video conference and multimedia life and other areas. Its main characteristic is containing large amounts of signal data, real-time, flexible and convenient. It has become an important industry in current technology field of mobile communication. Conventional video transmission technology has poor video image quality, small transmission capacity and slow transmission speed. This paper taking ARM9as the core controller designed a wireless video transmission system based on ARM9. The main work is as follows:1. The hardware circuit was designed for the wireless video transmission system based on ARM9. The main function of this circuit is completing acquisition and transmission of video image. It includes S3C2440core control circuit, power supply circuit, LCD display circuit, interface circuit of USB camera and interface circuit of GPRS communication module.2. The software of the transmission system of wireless video was designed. The kernel porting of LINUX operating system was completed. The root file system was made. The driver of the module of USB video acquisition, GPRS communication and LCD touch screen was designed.3. Because the traditional image compression algorithm has a serious distortion, this paper uses the H.264image compression algorithm which has the entropy coding technology to solve the problem of slow speed of compression and serious distortion of image, achieving the HD image transmission.Based on the embedded hardware platform of ARM9S3C2440this paper developed a wireless video transmission system. After being tested it can transmit the lossless image of high definition fast. It having good portability can be used for similar products.
