The Research Of Broadband Access Technology Application For Mobile Metropolitan Area Network

With the impact of triple play and increasing competition of telecom operators，mobileoperators have been carrying out all type business operations, facing more extensive and intensecompetition in telecommunication services and internet fields. Under these circumstances,mobile operators should have their own good broadband access network infrastructure, so moreand more attention has been paid on the construction of metropolitan area network broadbandaccess.Wired broadband access of metropolitan area mobile network mainly consists of groupclients hotline and internet access, home broadband access, PON access of WLAN. Since2009,Shandong Mobile Company has been gradually using GPON based broadband accesstechnologies for broadband access network construction, some beneficial attempts have alreadybeen made. However, some issues exist in the construction period, such as lack of experience,and the construction scheme is not quite mature. Meanwhile, as an important means of wirelessbroadband access, WLAN business whose coverage of hotspots is constructed rapidly, raisesincreasing demands for transmission network. How to use GPON technology in broadbandaccess network construction in a better way, how to choose the construction model for variousconstruction scenes and how to guarantee the good benefit of construction, we need to continueto study on these aspects.In this thesis，we introduce briefly on the basic principles as well as advantages anddisadvantages of Ethernet access technology, PON technology and WLAN technology. We focuson the problems encountered in the metropolitan area network broadband access construction formobile operators of XX province，combine with the actual situation of the existing network anddivide the broadband access business into four types：WLAN access，home broadband access,group clients hotline access and rural area broadband access. In inducing and analyzing variousbusiness demands, we mainly choose three typical scene models for WLAN access10M,100Mand1000M, FTTB and FTTH scenes for home broadband access, FTTV and FTTH scenes forrural area broadband access，we also choose a monitoring network line project as an example forgroup clients access. We design on multi-schemes, analyze from construction, maintenance,investment and other aspects and finally propose suggestions on the construction of broadbandaccess network.
