The Design And Implementation Of A Laboratory Integrated Information Management System

Experimental and training laboratory is an important place for students’ vocational skills.It is also an important platform for teachers’ experimental teaching and scientific research.Experiment and practical teaching can increase students’ employability and competitivenessbecause it can improve the the students’ hands-on operation ability and practical skills of thestudents. Recent years, experimental and training laboratory plays an increasingly importantrole in the cultivation of high-quality student. So increased capital investment and a largenumber of advanced laboratory equipment are used in the construction of the laboratory,designed to meet the needs of practical teaching.With the increase of the experimental training equipment, as well as the expansion of thetraining management team, several important issues that every college’s Experimental Centershould faced to are how to reasonably arrange and evaluate the management staff; how toscientifically schedule and manage these devices; how to update the devices in a timelymanner to improve to the maximum effect of the equipment; how to collect the experimentaland training information and statistical data that needed for the assessment efficiently; how toreduce the work intensity of the experimental and training administrators.Through the integration of the Experimental Center’s management and deviceinformation to concentrate deal with the various aspects of the information, this paper tried todevelop an Experimental center information management system by the use of Net with SQLdatabases and other software on base of the needs investigation and management experiencein the experimental training center of Guangzhou Vocational College of Technology andBusiness. The information management system is consist of the functions of the taskmanagement, experimental and training laboratory information management, equipmentinformation management, the statistical analysis system of the experimental training room,system management. It has a lot of good characters such as good scalability, real-time,economy, easy for use, easy for maintenance, safe and reliable and so on.This paper first introduces the background and the significance of the topic, and thendescribes the development platform of the comprehensive information management system.in Chapter, through the analysis of the integrated information system on the requirements, feasibility and architecture aspect, this part determine the design direction and goals of thispaper. Chapter IV detailed the design of the system function, the system data flow diagram,the design and realization of each functional subsystems. The fifth chapter describes theresults of system testing. Finally is the summary of the system and the exploration of the nextstep’s development.Through the debugging and test run in the experimental training center of GuangzhouVocational College of Technology and Business, it is proved that the informationmanagement platform obtain a good effect. The system is stable, safe and reliable, basicallyreach requirement and the goal of the design, that is, to effectively enhance the informationmanagement level of this department. The college’s leadership and related staff can monitorthe operation and management situation of the Experimental and training laboratory anytime.That plays an important role to improve the quality and level of experimental and practicalteaching.
