The Design And Implementation Of Automatic Meteorological Station Remote Maintenance System

With the improvement of living standards, the people’s requirements ofmeteorological services are needed to be enhanced. Aiming on improving theforecasting of meteorological disasters monitoring and early warning and servicecapabilities, Guangdong Meteorological Bureau had set up a weather disasteremergency ground automatic monitoring network which posed by thousands ofautomatic weather stations all over the province. However, as the network constructionstage and automatic weather stations technology unceasing development, it causedmultiple automatic network operation situations running independently and scattered.The lacks of a unified automated weather station data management processes and aunified service platform caused defects such as unified management, data usingefficiency and maintenance difficulties, meteorological disaster warning linkage and soon.By analyzing the maintaining and monitoring status of the automatic weatherstation domestically and abroad, as well as according to the imperfection of theautomatic weather stations in our country, the necessity of establishment of remotemaintenance and monitoring network system is proposed. We investigated anddeveloped the remote maintenance network system of automatic weather station, andthen described the main components of the system structure and system functions. Also,the design method in realizing the system had been introduced, including the real timecommunication technology, receiving and analyzing of data, and broadcasting ofinformation. The data of automatic weather station is able to be transmitted to theremote operation center in real time. Finally, the remote maintaining and testing to thedevices had also been realized.
