Greatwall Drilling Company(GWDC for short) which founded in February,2008.The business scope covers various processes of petroleum engineering andtechnical services, which includes drilling, wireline logging, mud logging, down-holeoperation services and energy development. The business of GWDC is distributed in23provinces in China and28countries across the world. The drilling teams arescattered over an extensive area which causes the difficulty in communication,inefficiency in business process enforcement and high management cost. Therefore,there is a pressing need for establishing an effective office automation system, whichcan help minimize the difficulty of management and improve the efficiency of alllevels of management staffs.This thesis is aimed at meeting the actual demand of the management of GWDC.It is based on the J2EE three-tier architecture to carry on the system development,adopting the SOA design concept and taking advantage of globally advancedtechnology and interface criteria. Scientific project management method is also appliedin order to rein in the project schedule, ensure the development quality and reduce therisk in the construction of the project as well.First, the thesis introduces the background, purpose and principles of the OAconstruction, along with the framework of system function, layer design, the keytechnology and interface criteria in detail. Then a thorough requirement analysis andsystem function design is made upon this system. After that, the design and realizationof the system architecture is discussed in detail in terms of overall system architecture,function logical architecture, as well as the architecture of technical, physical and data.The procedure of design and realization of the key system node is also depicted.Finally, this essay makes an analysis on the risk and quality management, and thedevelopment of the functional requirement is accomplished at last.After the system was put into application, the operation runs in good conditionand the pre-designed function is realized completely. With the promotion of thissystem in bureau and division department and business department, the business procedure is standardized and the requirements of all level users and administrators arefulfilled. The management level and communication skills are also improved. And thedesign method of the development of the management system based on SOAarchitecture is verified as well.
