Soa-based Electronic Document Management System Development

With the development of computers, the electronic document, substituting the traditional paper document which is costly and hard to preserve, is used by more and more enterprises. The China Quality Certification Center (CQC), which is the largest and most authoritative professional certification institution in China, has a wide range of certified products and a number of branches at home and abroad. All branches of any change of an electronic document, which of course makes distribution and management of these documents inconvenient, should be notified by relevant departments. The increasing difficulty of distribution and management of electronic documents besides the growth of the scale of center institutions and branch offices has been contributed by the frequent update of the quality certification standards. When the latest standards issued by the State can't be distributed to the sub-centers promptly, inspectors will fail to implement them in time when inspecting product quality, which can seriously affect the monitoring of product quality. How to improve the efficiency of distributing standard electronic documents is an urgent problem.First of all, the status and problems of quality certification system in the electronic documents distribution and management are analyzed in this paper, and the necessity of SOA-based electronic document management system development is illustrated. Next, the function of electronic document management system is discussed, and a rational and practical flow for the document distribution is analyzed. Then, the architecture of SOA-based electronic document management system is analyzed. Some core subsystems including the document management of distribution and safe are designed in details. The realization of the integration of document distribution subsystem, the mail system and the integration of document safe system and OA system are discussed in detail, how to remind related personnel of the change of documents by e-mail or SMS are effectively solved, which improves the efficiency of document distribution. As a result, sub-center staffs can refer to the latest standards without any delay, and the quality of monitoring to product can certainly be improved. Finally, the scalability and return on investment of the system are analyzed.
