The reality show,as a program imported from the western courtries,has gone through12years. As a new TV program form,it is favored by the people from all over the world since it appeared. The development of the reality show in China has gone through several stages/the whole imitation,the part of localization,buying foreign program copyright.It has been in the process of the development.The success of "China’s got talent",which was broadcast on the Oriental TV in2010,pointed out another way for the Chinese TV station.It can also succeed by the purchase of foreign program copyright.This led to another prosperity on the TV screen.Six TV bought foreign program copyright in2011, it includes "Chinese Dream" of Zhejiang TV,"Sing It" of Oriental TV,"The X factor" of Liaoning TV,"Generation Show" of Shenzhen TV,"Last Choir Standing" of Southeast TV,"Surprise! Surprise!" of Shandong TV.A problem arises.In China and the West, the ideology, historical culture and the audience psychology are all different. It needs some localization according to China’s actual situations.However, the main aim of this paper is to find a way to successfully localize the foreign show. This thesis cites a case, which "Britain’s talent show" is successfully transplanted into "China’s got talent",hoping to provide some references for other similar programs.
