This thesis studies and designs a complete set of intelligent PV streetlight control system, which includes a PV streetlight controller, intelligent control gateway.The PV streetlight controller can determine the working state of the system by detecting the voltage of the photovoltaic battery and the storage battery, maximize the PV power collection by using the MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm, control the LED streetlight by PWM technology. The design of PV streetlight controller is divided into the hardware design and software design. I designed some function circuits, such as micro-controller circuit, DC-DC circuit, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control circuit, communication module interface circuit. I designed control strategy program, MPPT algorithm, wireless communication program and so on.The design of intelligent control gateway contains hardware design and software design. The hardware design, which based on the Altera DE2development platform, contains Nios II core, Ethernet interface and ZigBee interface. In software design, μClinux provides multiple task management and BOA network protocol stack supplies network communication. Application software based on HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) and CGI(Common Gateway Interface), makes the user control the PV streetlight network.The intelligent PV streetlight control system, using SOPC technology, ZigBee network, dynamic webpage design, has advantages of high integration, flexible design, property right protection and easy operation, can be used for PV streetlight control of streets, communities, industrial park.
